Grading Policy

Grades in Technology classes are divided into two categories:

Classroom Assignments - 40%
Classwork, or formative assignments, are intended to measure student ability as they are learning new skills and concepts and are particularly useful for providing timely feedback. Consider these your typical "daily grade" type of assignments.

Assessments - 60%
Assessments are tests and other major projects that are intended to measure student ability at the end of a unit and determine mastery of a given topic or standard. These are your typical "unit test" type of assignments. In technology classes, most of these grades involve some sort of performance task or culminating project demonstrating a specific skill and typically take many days to complete.
