Class Expectations
Safe: Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
Organized: Stay focused and do your best.
Accountable: Come to class prepared and on time.
Respectful: Respect all adults, self, and classmates in all learning settings.
My goal is to promote a positive learning environment. Therefore, I plan to focus on positive behavior. I will recognize extraordinary effort, strong citizenship, and academic achievement.

Negative Consequences
1st offense: warning
2nd offense: silent lunch/conference
3rd offense: detention/parent contact
4th offense: office referral
Note: Extreme or disruptive behavior will be immediately referred to the office
Grading Weights & Categories: Benchmarks are 5%, daily work is 40% and assessments are 55%. In progress grades are available in the Parent Portal.
Missed assignments: Must be made up immediately and are the student’s responsibility. Missed handouts can be found in the “Absent” folder in the class turn in bin.
Tutoring: Students may make arrangements for tutoring before school; a pass will be required.
Retake Policy: Students may reassess summatives [maximum of 90%] after completing a Retake Contract which will consist of test corrections. Requirements will be posted in the GOOGLE classroom. Formatives and Benchmarks are not eligible for the Retake Contract.
RR Policy: Rest room visits will be allowed during non-instructional times; students must sign out/in, get permission, and take the correct pass.
Homework: Periodic open note/homework ‘quizzes’ will be given to assess homework and encourage completion. Collaborative projects will be completed in class. Practice is essential to academic success! However, I assign minimal homework. Review social studies work daily for best academic outcome!
