Parents & Guardians: Please make sure your contact information in Parent Portal is up to date! I will use that contact information should I need to contact you.

GA Studies Supplies: pencil/pens, index cards, colored pencils; spiral notebook (3 subject with pockets is best); earbuds

Grading Weights: Daily Work is 40% & Assessments are60%. In progress grades are available in the Parent Portal.

Missed assignments: Must be made up immediately and are the student’s responsibility. Missed handouts can be found in the “Absent” folder in the class turn in bin.

Tutoring: Students may make arrangements for tutoring before school (7AM - 7:25AM) ; a pass will be required.

Retake Policy: Students may reassess summatives [maximum of 90%] after completing test corrections.

Test Correction Requirements:

For EACH missed question:

1. Why your answer is wrong [& letter]

2. Why the correct answer is correct [& letter]

3. Citation (NOT google) --where you found info

Formatives and CDAs are not eligible for the Retake Contract.

RR Policy: Rest room visits will be allowed during non-instructional times; students must sign out/in, complete a pass, and get me to sign it.

Periodic open note/homework ‘quizzes’ will be given to assess homework and encourage completion. Collaborative projects will be completed in class. Practice is essential to academic success! However, I assign minimal homework. Review social studies work daily for best academic outcome!
